More than 100 migrants and refugees were rescued off the western coast of Turkey last week, Turkey’s coast guard revealed in a statement released on Monday.
Three different boats carrying the migrants were intercepted off the coast of Dikili and Cesme, in the Aegean Sea.
Most of the migrants, which included women, men and children, were from Syria and Afghanistan, Turkish coast guard said.
The influx of migrants from Turkey hit a record of 857,000 last year.
But since the deal came into effect in March, monthly arrivals in Greece have been in the low thousands.
The monthly incoming refugee figure for August is the highest in four months, however.
