Turkish army killed over 100 members of PKK militant group in the Southeastern Hakkari province, the Turkish General Staff said.
According to the military, seven Turkish soldiers were killed in the operation, while 21 more were wounded, Sputnik reported.
The operation to counter PKK militants, which Ankara considers as terrorists, is still ongoing in the region.
A ceasefire between Turkey and the militant group collapsed in July 2015, prompting the Turkish authorities to launch a military operation in the country’s Southeastern regions.
Earlier in the day, authorities in the Southeastern Van province reported that eight Turkish soldiers and 11 members of the PKK were killed in 24 hours during clashes.
