With the Turkey-backed Syrian Rebels including Free Syrian Army (FSA) and their allies in control of Jarabulus (Jerablus), the SDF and YPG have shifted their attention to the ISIS stronghold of Al-Bab, which is situated along a major Plateau in the Aleppo Governorate.
The purpose of YPG East Aleppo advance is to link their territory in northern Syria and eliminate the ISIS threat that is still festering around the Al-Hasakah and Al-Raqqa governorates, Al Masdar reports.
