The Russian Defense Ministry announced minutes ago that a number of positions of ISIS in energy-rich regions in Eastern Homs have come under the heavy bombardments of Russian warplanes.
"The Russian Air Force continued their airstrikes over the natural gas-rich region of Eastern Homs, hitting several targets in the villages of al-Sukhnah and Arak," the ministry said.
"In the meantime, the Russian bombers destroyed a number of ISIS's armored vehicles near oil pipeline near the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur)," the ministry further added.
Earlier reports said that Syrian military forces launched fresh rounds of attacks on ISIS's centers near the Eastern city of Deir Ezzur and inflicted major losses and casualties on the terrorists.
The Syrian soldiers targeted ISIS's concentration centers and gatherings near the villages of al-Mura'yeh and al-Baqaliyeh, killing and wounding several militant.
ISIS's military equipment also were targeted and destroyed in the attacks.
