IRIB Correspondent Detained by Egyptian Police in Cairo

Samira Montazeri, a Cairo-based reporter for the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) has been detained by Egyptian police in Cairo, according to Al-Alam News Network correspondent.

The Alalam News Network correspondent said, Egyptian police has arrested the Iranian Broadcasting reporter Samira Montazeri yesterday evening, Monday August 8th.

He added, Samira Montazeri was in custody and then transferred for further interrogation.

At the present time, the Iranian Interest Section in Cairo is consulting with Egyptian officials about the reporter’s condition.
