The group attack of the Nusra Front terrorists, Nour Al Din Al Zanki Movement and Faylaq Al Rahman militants was repelled by Syrian army forces in an area around the Castillo Road in the Al Malah Farms in Northern Aleppo and ended in large casualties for the terrorists.

Also Syrian fighter jets carried out several combat flights over Daesh (Islamic State, ISIS, ISIL and IS) held districts in the Eastern city of Deir Ezzur and targeted the militants groups in Northern Aleppo.

Meanwhile Syrian Army troops repelled ISIL's offensive on their strongholds in the neighborhoods of Deir Ezzur, and forced them to retreat from the battlefield under heavy fire, FNA reports.

According to military sources on Friday large group of locals in the Eastern province of Deir Ezzur have been trained in army camps and are ready to fight against Daesh terrorists in the battlefield.

"Liwa Al Imam Zein Al Abedeen is comprised of over 1,000 fighters that have been trained by the Syrian army’s “Al Qassim Units” (Syrian Special Forces) at the Brigade 137 Base in Western Deir Ezzur," the Sources said, adding, "The newly-formed militia has already begun carrying out operations against ISIL's positions.'

Similar to the Surian National Defense Forces (NDF), Liwaa Al Imam Zein Al Abadeen will fight alongside the Syrian army in Deir Ezzur; they will also receive wages for their service.

Reports said earlier that Syrian army's artillery units and Air Force, in a fresh round of attacks, pounded ISIL's bases and gatherings in different parts of the Eastern province of Deir Ezzur, inflicting major losses on the militants.

Syrian tanks opened fire at ISIL's concentration centers near al-Thardah Mountain that overlooks the Deir Ezzur airport, which ended in the killing of 4 terrorists and wounding of several more.

The Syrian Air Force, for its part, continued to target ISIL's positions around al-Thardah mountain, Wadi Villat region, the village of al-Hosseiniyeh, and al-Ardi districts in Deir Ezzur city, which not only claimed the lives of several militants but destroyed their military equipment and vehicles.
