At least 18 Takfiri terrorist were killed in Russian airstrikes in central Syria, including near the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur) in Homs province.
The so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Friday that the aerial attacks were carried out around the town of al-Sukhnah, East of the city of Homs, as well as close to Palmyra, Northeast of the capital, Damascus.
It said that a number of European nationals were among the slain militants.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Thursday that Moscow used six long-range bombers to target terrorists and oil sites in Syria, releasing a video of the operation.
Moscow sent warplanes at the request of the Damascus to help President Bashar al-Assad in fight against the terrorist groups across the Arab country; FNA reported.
