Footage obtained by The Associated Press showed fierce clashes around the city's Municipal Palace, where Syrian government forces are positioned.

Two of the Army’s highly-trained units; the 4th Armoured Division and Syrian Republican Guard, are jointly battling against militants, attempting to place a way down the Layramoun roundabout.

ANNA NEWS reporter escorted the troops and recorded a breathtaking footage featuring live firefight as well as side conversations with the soldiers, Al-Masdar News reports
