The Syrian Arab Army placed roadside explosives along the Lajat-Sharat Road in northeast Daraa on Saturday, killing two members of Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda group) and wounding several other combatants in the process.
A senior officer from the 5th Armored Division told Al-Masdar News on Saturday morning that the roadside explosives were meant to obstruct any terrorist’s vehicles from traveling towards the Lajat Plateau near the Al-Sweida border.
This attack on Saturday marks the second time in two weeks that the Syrian Armed Forces have carried out a successful ambush against Jabhat Al-Nusra (Nusra Front) in northeast Daraa.
