The Syrian Foreign Ministry made the criticism on Wednesday in two letters addressed to the United Nations secretary general and the head of the UN Security Council.

The governments in Riyadh, Ankara, Doha and some Western states, such as France, Britain and the US, are responsible for the Hasakah bombing and other terrorist assaults in Syria, the letter read.
On Tuesday, a bomber set off his explosive belt outside a bakery in the al-Salehiyah neighborhood of Hasakah, leaving 16 civilians dead and over 27 others wounded.
The Takfiri Daesh (ISIS / ISIL) terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack, which took place one day before Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of the holy Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.

The letters also accused the perpetrators of such attacks of seeking to prolong the crisis gripping Syria and aggravate the suffering of Syrians.
Such assaults are also aimed at raising the morale of the terrorist groups that have suffered defeats amid gains by the Syrian armed forces and their allies, the letters added.
They further called on that the UN Security Council to take immediate punitive and deterrent measures against the countries, which are providing support and funds to the terrorists, and compel them to abide by the council’s resolutions.
Syria has been gripped by foreign-sponsored militancy since March 2011. UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura estimates that over 400,000 people have been killed in the Syrian conflict since March 2011.
The UN has stopped its official casualty count in the Middle Eastern state, citing its inability to verify the figures it receives from various sources.
The Takfiri elements operating in the Arab country have suffered major setbacks over the past few months as the Syrian army has managed to liberate a number of areas from the grip of the extremists.
