The governor of Slahuddin province Ahmed Jabouri has announced on Saturday that the security forces are only 10 kilometers away from the center of al-Sharqat in north of Salahuddin.
Jabouri, in a press statement said, “The Iraqi military troops are advancing against ISIS in the military operations and there are excellent plans to dig trenches to hold the ground,” adding, “The security forces have now considerable experience in combating ISIS in the cities. They are stationed around 10 km from the center of Sharqat;” Iraqi News reported.
