At least one person is reportedly injured after two freight trains collided in Panhandle, Texas on Tuesday; Al-Alam News Network reports.
Black smoke billowed from the site of the accident as firefighters attempted to put out the blazing flames.
The collision took place at 0840 local time (1240 GMT) and involved two Burlington Northern and Santa Fe (BNSF) freight trains, local news reported, quoting the railway spokesman.
Panhandle authorities have asked residents to cut down on water usage as the supply of water was being drained by firefighters, local news said.
BNSF Railway is the second largest freight railroad in North America and hauls bulk cargo across the United States, Reuters reported.
