Ahrar al-Sham al-Islamiyya Mivement or 'Islamic Movement of the Free Men of the Levant'), commonly referred to as Ahrar al-Sham, is a coalition of multiple “Radical Islamists” and Salafists units that coalesced into a single brigade in order to fight against the Syrian government led by President Bashar al-Assad.
"The Jaish Al Sham group began when the Suqour al-Sham brigade called Suyouf al-Haq split from its parent organization because it did not want to participate in the fighting between Suqour al-Sham and the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIS or ISIL), According to Wikipedia."
In July 2014, the Liwa Dawoud unit defected from Jaysh al-Sham to ISIS, bringing with them 1000 men and 10 tanks.
Jaysh al-Sham claimed that it had expelled them.
The group almost was disbanded on 28 July 2014, giving the remaining affiliated groups the option to join other groups. But in 2015-2016 Jaish Al Sham can get more militia and weapon reportedly from Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
