The Syrian army troops repelled the ISIS terrorist group’s attacks on their positions in Homs province, inflicting heavy losses on the militants.

The ISIS's attacks to penetrate into the government forces' positions between the village of Qasr al-Hayer and the ancient Assyrian town of al-Quayratayn were fended off by the strong defense of the Syrian military men.

Meantime, the Syrian army and popular forces continued their military advances in other parts of Syria, including Damascus and Aleppo, over past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army's operations in Syria's key provinces.

Homs

The Syrian soldiers repelled the ISIS offensive on the government force's strongholds in Southwestern Homs, and forced the Takfiri terrorists to retreat from the battlefield without any gain.

The ISIS attacks to penetrate into the government force' positions between the village of Qasr al-Hayer and the ancient Assyrian town of al-Quayratayn were fended off by the strong defense of the Syrian military men.

The ISIS suffered a heavy death toll and fled the battlefield.

In the meantime, the ISIS missile launching pads near the village of Keisin in Northern Homs were targeted and destroyed by the Syrian heavy fire.

Reports said earlier on Sunday that the Syrian Army troops, backed up by the country's warplanes, targeted ISIS's strongholds in Eastern Homs, slowing down the militants' logistical movements.

The Syrian soldiers struck the ISIS gatherings near al-Tleileh and Arak in Eastern Homs, which not only ended in the killing or wounding of several militants but pinned the terrorists down behind their defense lines.

The Syrian fighter jet, for their part, carried out several combat flights over the ISIS positions in al-Tleileh and Arak and destroyed the military equipment and vehicles.

Deir Ezzor

The Lebanese Hezbollah Resistance Movement has dispatched a large number of its experienced fighters to Deir Ezzor to help the Syrian Army troops and its popular allies end ISIS's siege on the Eastern city, provincial sources said.

"Hezbollah has sent its first group of elite fighters to the military airport in Deir Ezzor province," the sources said.

"The Syrian army’s 104th and 137th brigades have been under ISIS siege in the Deir Ezzor for over a year now," the sources added.

"However, this situation is expected to change in the coming weeks as Hezbollah mobilizes its elite units to help protect the provincial capital of Deir Ezzur and liberate several areas under ISIS control," they went on to say.

Damascus

The Syrian army continued its advances in Damascus countryside by pushing back the Takfiri terrorists in tough battle and also by taking control of key regions there.

The army units took full control of Jasreen farms in Eastern Ghouta in Damascus countryside after killing a large number of Al-Nusra Front terrorists.

The Takfiri terrorists sustained heavy losses and casualties in fierce clashes with the Syrian government troops.

Earlier on Sunday, a long tunnel, filled by explosive devices, was detonated under the strongholds of Faylaq al-Rahman's command-and-control center in Eastern Ghouta by the Syrian Army troops, inflicting major losses on the militants.

Syrian army's engineering units detonated a long tunnel-bomb under the Takfiri terrorists' stronghold of Zamalka in Eastern Ghouta, which destroyed one more command-and-control center of Faylaq al-Rahman terrorists in the region.

The detonation inflicted a heavy death toll on the militants.

Military sources disclosed on Saturday that the terrorist groups once again used poisonous materials in their attacks on the strongholds of the Syrian Army and popular forces in Eastern Ghouta.

"The Takfiri terrorist groups have accessed to a dangerous type of chemicals with serious causes on the human breathing system," the sources said, adding, "Some sources disclosed earlier that the Takfiri terrorist groups had imported this kind of chemicals from Turkey to use them in chemical weapons."

Also, the Syrian Army troops and popular forces launched more attacks on terrorist groups' strongholds in Eastern Ghouta to pave the ground for pushing the militants back from Mayda'a and Hawsh al-Farah regions, military sources announced.

"The Syrian government forces targeted Hawsh al-Dawahirah and Hawsh Nasri South of Hawsh al-Fara with heavy artillery and short-range missiles to prevent potential reinforcements of militants into Hawsh al-Farah," the sources said, adding, "Dozens of Jeish al-Islam fighters have been seriously wounded when the army blew off several entrenches dug to the North of Mayda’a."

Aleppo

Jeish al-Fatah terrorist group admitted sustaining heavy damages and death of 167 members during clashes with the Syrian army and popular forces in the Southern parts of Aleppo.

Informed sources close to Jeish al-Fatah reported on Sunday that 24 ringleaders of the terrorist group are among the 167 militants killed in Aleppo recently.

They also added that 5 tanks and 34 military vehicles belonging to the terrorists were destroyed during the fighting.

Also, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) quoted a Jeish al-Fatah commander as saying that the terrorist group has sustained big losses and damage in the war with the Syrian army in Southern Aleppo.

Meantime, military sources said on Saturday that hundreds of Jeish al-Fatah terrorists crossed Turkey's border into Northern Syria to join their comrades in the mountainous battlefields of the coastal province of Lattakia that has been the scene of government forces' advances in the recent days.

"After significant advances of the Syrian army and its popular allies against the terrorist groups near the border with Turkey, Ankara paved the way for scores of the terrorists to enter Lattakia to join their comrades from Chechnya and Caucasus deployed in Turkmen mountain," the sources said.

Raqqa

The Syrian military troops, in a fresh round of mop up operation on the Southern side of al-Tabaqa airbase, discovered a large depot of ISIS arms and ammunition left behind by the Takfiri terrorists under the heavy attacks of the Syrian government forces in the recent days.

The Syrian soldiers found the ISIS depot of weapons and military equipment in Safiyeh oilfield.

Large number of mortar shells and large volume of other kinds of ammunition were in the discovered depot.

Reports said earlier on Sunday that the Syrian warplanes, in fresh series of heavy bombardments, targeted the ISIS defense lines and bases in different parts of Raqqa province, killing a number of militants and pinning the rest of them down behind their positions.

The Syrian Army aircraft bombed the ISIS gatherings and concentration centers in al-Mansoureh, the town of al-Tabaqa and al-Tabaqa airbase, which not only left at least 30 terrorists dead but destroyed their strongholds.

Dara'a

The Syrian Army troops continued to hunt the al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front's members in the Southern districts of Dara'a city, military sources said, adding that the army also inflicted major damage on the militants' sites.

"The Syrian soldiers stormed al-Nusra's positions in the neighborhood of al-Kark in Dara'a al-Balad in the Southern part of Dara'a city, which ended in the killing of several militants and destroyed their military hardware, including their mortar units," the sources said, adding, "Military vehicles of al-Nusra sustained major damage in the Syrian army's attacks on the Takfiri terrorists' positions in the Southern side of al-Jamarek al-Qadim neighborhood in Dara'a al-Balad."

Hama

The Syrian military forces repelled ISIS's attacks on the government forces' strongholds near the city of al-Salamiyah in Hama province, and forced the militants to retreat from the battlefield under heavy fire.

The Syrian soldiers fended off the ISIS assaults on the pro-government forces' defense lines near the village of al-Mefaker in the Eastern side of al-Salamiyah, which claimed the lives of several militants and destroyed their vehicles carrying weapons and ammunition.

The ISIS left behind its military equipment and fled the battlefield.
