The Syrian Army troops and National Defense Forces drove the ISIL terrorists back from more strongholds in Eastern Homs, inflicting major losses of the militants.
The Syrian government forces engaged in heavy fighting with the ISIS along the road connecting the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur) to the desert town of Arak and forced the ISIL to retreat from three key checkpoints in the region.
The ISIS suffered a heavy death toll in the attacks.
In relevant developments on Monday, the Syrian Army and National Defense Forces continued to advance against the ISIS along the international highway of Homs-Deir Ezzur, killing several militants and capturing more territories.
The Syrian government forces drove the ISIS back from al-Kaziyeh farms in Northern Palmyra after advancing from the recently captured hilltops overlooking the grain Silos, which not only claimed the lives of dozens of the militants but destroyed their military equipment, FNA reported.
