The Syrian pro-government forces engaged in fierce clashes with the ISIL terrorists and forced them to retreat form Abu al-Zein mountain and al-Masbah region.
The ISIS left behind tens of the dead or wounded members and fled the battlefield.
Battlefield sources said that the army units are now hunting the fleeing Daesh terrorists.
In relevant development in the province on Thursday, the Syrian pro-government forces repelled the Takfiri militants' assaults on strategic districts in Northern Hama, forcing the terrorist group to retreat from the region under the army's heavy fire.
The Takfiri militants affiliated to al-Nusra Front and Ahrar al-Sham terrorist groups failed to penetrate into the government forces' strongholds in al-Zakat, Haseria and al-Lataminah in the Northern countryside of Hama province due to strong defense of the Syrian army men.
The terrorist groups left behind at least 20 dead and many more wounded members and fled the battlefront to evade more casualties.
Their military vehicles and equipment also sustained major damage in the unsuccessful attacks, FNA reported.
