Organizers in the city of Covington planned to walk seven goats at Goebal Park for the "Running of the Goats" during the grand opening of a local farmer's market Saturday morning.
A group of 40 people had signed up to be a human barrier around the goats but the animals immediately made a run for it and escaped.
All of the goats were eventually caught and returned but two goats did spend the night inside the park until they were caught the next day, AP reported.
