The Iraqi security forces have thwarted the ISIS militants attack in south of Mosul (405 km north of Baghdad), killing 20 terrorists during the military operation, a source in Nineveh Liberation Operations Command announced on Thursday.
The source said, “The commandos 15th brigade in Nineveh Liberation Operations was able to repel a violent attack launched by ISIS on Kharaib village in Makhmur District south of Mosul and killed 20 ISIS members.”
The source, who asked anonymity, added, “The security forces also managed to detonate two car bombs during the attack, without causing any casualties among the security forces,” IraqiNews reported.
