New Zealand free-diver William Trubridge set his 16th free immersion diving world record in the Bahamas on Saturday (April 30).
Trubridge's dive at the 2016 Vertical Blue Free-dive Challenge lasted four minutes and 24 seconds at a depth of 122 meters down Dean's Blue Hole beating his previous 2011 record set at 121 meters.
As the director of the Vertical Blue free-diving school, Trubridge holds annual free diving competitions with 35 competitors from 20 countries participating this year.
Dean's Blue Hole is the world's deepest known salt water blue hole with a depth of 202 meters, Reuters reported.
