As the terrorists continue to lose ground in Syria, ISIS has reportedly killed 21 of its own failing military chiefs since the start of April in their Syrian stronghold, Raqqa, it has been claimed.
Its feared security body has also arrested a number of other commanders and transported them to Iraq.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which tracks violence in Syria, an ISIS commander of Moroccan nationality was among those executed.
It comes a day after it emerged ISIS had killed 45 of their own fighters by locking them inside a forensic freezer after they attempted to flee during a battle in Iraq.
The claims were made by the Iraqi media agency Al Sumaria News, who reported that the victims were shut in the freezers for a whole day.
"Morale has fallen to its lowest level in the terror group rank-and-file after a drop in wages and territorial defeats."
After their agonizing deaths, the bodies of the victims were allegedly stretched out along the sides of the road to act as a warning to any other ISIS defectors.
A report has found that battle-weary ISIS fighters are increasingly trying to dodge frontline duty by getting doctors to write them fake sick notes.
In recent months, it has been forced to cut all salaries by half, slash benefits and ration electricity, after air strikes hit their oil and cash reserves.
Over the last year, its income has dropped by around 30 per cent as a result of Coalition air strikes, making it far harder to fund its military operation and maintain order in the territory it controls.
In March, it was reported that ISIS had lost nearly ten per cent of its territory in Iraq and Syria in the previous three months alone.
Analysis showed that the terror group had relinquished 22 per cent of its land – an area roughly half the size of England – since the start of 2015 in the face of airstrikes and ground offensives by allies, Daily Mail reported.
