The Syrian Army’s artillery units opened heavy fire at the positions of the terrorist groups deployed inside and outside the strategic town of Kabani and pinned the militants down behind their strongholds.
Several terrorists of al-Nusra Front and al-Turkistani group were killed and several more were wounded in the Syrian army's shelling of the militant positions in Kabani and its surrounding mountains.
Reports said earlier today that the Syrian Armed Forces have continued their advances against the terrorist groups in the Northeastern parts of Latakia province and are now engaged in a tough battle to complete their control over the strategic town of Kabani.
"A large number of the Syrian army men and their popular allies have been deployed in the outskirts of Kabani and are ready to join their comrades that took back surrounding hills of the town on Tuesday," the sources said.
