US-led coalition fighter jets struck targeted Islamic State (Daesh / ISIS) group militants and hideouts near the town of Heet, west of Baghdad, on Tuesday.
Video released by the Iraqi Defense Ministry showed details of the aerial attack.
A statement attached to the video said that “the coalition aircraft carried out accurate air strikes against ISIS headquarters, in town of Heet, Anbar province.”
The statement added that “Iraqi drones were able to kill a number of terrorists and destroyed several vehicles used by extremists.”
Heet sits along on an ISIS supply line that links territory controlled by the extremist group in Iraq and in Syria. Through the line, ISIS ferries fighters and supplies from Syria into Iraq, AP reported.
