The Syrian army repulsed terrorists’ attempt to infiltrate into a strategic region in Hama with their artillery fire and airstrikes.
The terrorists attempted to take control of al-Rabiya region in the West-Central province of Hama but were pushed back by the Syrian troops' timely action and after sustaining a number of losses and injuries. Other militants also fled the battlefield.
In another development in Salamiya town in Hama, the Syrian army units destroyed 3 ISIS military vehicles, killing and wounding all on board.
Also, the Syrian army units' operations in Wadi al-Ezeib area near al-Shaikh Hilal region in the Eastern countryside of Hama inflicted scores of casualties on ISIS terrorists and destroyed their machinegun and DshK-equipped vehicle.
In a relevant development on Friday, the Syrian army units repelled a heavy ISIS offensive to take control of a strategic base in Hama.
The ISIS terrorists failed in their attempts to infiltrate into the base in the Northeastern parts of Mafkar al-Sharqi region on the outskirts of al-Salamiya town by the Syrian army's timely reaction.
Clashes between the governmental forces and the ISIS militants in the region took life of several terrorists and wounded scores of others, FNA reported.
