Kurdish Forces Repel ISIS Assault, Kill 20 Militants in Kirkuk

The Kurdish forces have repelled an attack carried out by ISIS terror group northwest of the Kirkuk province, while pointed out to the killing of more than 20 ISIS members, a security source in Kirkuk Province revealed on Thursday.

The source said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “Last night, Kurdish Peshmerga forces managed to repulse ISIS attack on Kharbet al-Rout village in al-Dibs District, killing more than 20 ISIS members.”

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, added, “The Kurdish Peshmerga forces didn’t allow the members of ISIS to advance toward the city axes.”
