Iraqi army forces backed by popular committees have killed the ISIS military commander of Albu Daeig area south of Fallujah, Media officials with the Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday.
The officials said in a press statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “The Eighth Division’s troops managed to kill the [ISIS] military commander in Albu Daeig south of Fallujah, known as Hussein Alawi,” noting that, “This terrorist was nicknamed as Abu Walid.”
The statement added, “The killing of Abu Walid was based on accurate intelligence.”
