Scores of Ansar al-Sham terrorists were killed and wounded in Syrian warplanes' attacks on Wednesday.

Meantime, the Syrian air forces pounded and destroyed the military positions and gathering centers of the terrorists in Ma'ar Baya village in Lattakia province.

Earlier today, the Syrian Army and popular forces continued to push the militant groups back from more territories in the Northeastern part of Lattakia province and restored security to more villages and heights in the mountainous region.

The Syrian army troops and the National Defense Forces stormed the militants' strongholds near the villages of Ein al-Ghazal and Maza'aleh and following a several-hour battle imposed full control over the villages and several strategic hills, FNA reports.

The militant groups left behind tens of dead or wounded members and fled the battlefield.

Also, the Syrian army made new gains in the coastal province of Lattakia in tough battle with Jeish al-Fatah (Army of Conquest) militants, winning back a strategic region.

The army units seized back the key Height 458. 19 in Lattakia province pushing back the terrorists from the region.

Scores of militants were killed and injured in clashes with the army units.

Almost 7 percent of Lattakia province is now under the control of the ISIL as the Syrian army and resistance forces have won back over 100 villages in the past two months.
