The Syrian army troops backed by popular forces and Air Force leveled up concerted attacks on militants’ positions in the key Dara’a al-Balad district of the Southern city of Dara’a on Thursday.
All members of a Takfiri terrorist group were killed in intensified battles with the Syrian army soldiers Southeast of al-Manshiyeh neighborhood.
In a separate incident in the region, militants' vehicle moving near their position in the area surrounding al-Awqaf (Endowment) Department building in Dara'a al-Balad was destroyed by pro-government forces.
Elsewhere, in the Northeastern regions of the neighboring Sweida province, the Syrian army units targeted several gatherings and positions of the ISIL Takfiri terrorists in Tal Farah, killing all members of the terrorist group and destroying their military hardware.
On Wednesday, Syrian army soldiers, tipped off by intelligence agents, ambushed a vehicle fully laden with mines and artillery shells on a road in the western part of Sweida province and seized its illegal cargo, military sources said.
Military sources said the seizure of the cargo was made on a road in the western part of Sweida province as the vehicle carrying the ammunition from Dara'a for the militants lurking in the Syrian desert was successfully tracked and stopped by the Syrian army soldiers in Sweida province, FNA reported.
