The Syrian Army troops backed by popular forces stormed the militant groups’ strongholds in Western Ghouta and pushed the terrorist back from more lands in the region.
The Syrian army, in a several-hour fighting, drove the militant groups back from the region of al-Fusoul al-Rabe'ah (Four Seasons) near the city of Darayya, which also left several militants dead.
The Syrian Air Force, for its part, targeted the terrorist groups' concentration centers in the small town of Khan al-Sheih in the Southwestern part of Damascus province, leaving many terrorists dead or wounded.
On Monday, the Syrian air force hit hard the military positions and gathering centers of the militants in Damascus countryside.
The terrorists' military positions in Douma, Khan al-Sheikh and Hawash al-Farah regions in Damascus countryside were razed down by the Syrian fighter jets.
The Syrian air force also struck the militants' concentration centers in Deir Kheibeh in Damascus province.
The Syrian fighter jets, meantime, hit hard the terrorists in Darayya, Harasta, al-Marj, al-Mohammadiya, Hawash Nasri and farms of Khan al-Sheih camp in Damascus countryside.
In Eastern Ghouta, the Syrian army attacked Aliyeh farms, killing scores of Jeish al-Islam (Army of Islam) militants, including a notorious sniper named Khaled al-Sa'our, FNA reported.
