The Syrian army troops have added another victory to a series of achievements made over the past few weeks, establishing on Friday control over Atman town in the northern countryside of Daraa province.
Army units backed by the popular defense groups, restored security and stability to Atman town, 4 km north of Daraa city in the southern Daraa province, a military source told SANA.
All the remaining hideouts of the terrorist organizations in the town were eliminated, with many terrorists getting killed, while the rest fled, the source said.
It noted that the army’s engineering units have started combing the town to dismantle explosive devices left behind by the terrorists.
