The Syrian Army’s Artillery Units and the country’s Air Force on Wednesday targeted several positions of the militant groups in the Northern and Northeastern parts of Aleppo province, the army said.
"The artillery units shelled heavily the militant positions near al-Bab city and Tadif town in the Northeastern part of Aleppo province, which claimed the lives of many terrorists and destroyed their weapons," the army said.
"Meantime, concentration centers of the militant groups near Hraytan town and Tal Msaibeen village in the Northern part of the Province came under bombardments of the Syrian warplanes, ending in major damages of the militant groups' military hardware and their heavy casualties," the army further added.
Earlier reports said that the militant groups' concentration centers in the Southern, Northern and Northeastern territories of Aleppo province came under the Syrian army's artillery and missile shelling while the country's fighter jets bombed militants' sites heavily.
"Scores of the terrorists were wounded as a result of the Syrian artillery units' shelling of the militant groups' positions in the Southwestern side of Tal Mamou South of Aleppo province," the sources said.
"The artillery units of the army also shelled the militants' gathering centers near al-Bab and Tadif towns in the Northeastern side of Aleppo province, which claimed the lives of many terrorists and destroyed their military grid," they further added.
"In the meantime, the Syrian fighter jets bombed the gathering centers of the terrorist groups near Marea town and the villages of Tal Msaibeen, al-Alghamiyah, ad al-Malekiyah in the Northern side of Aleppo province," the sources went on to say; FNA reported.
