The Syrian Army announced on Sunday that its soldiers alongside the country’s popular forces have been pounding the militant groups’ centers in different parts of Idlib and Aleppo provinces, leaving many terrorists dead or wounded.
“The Syrian government forces, in a special operation, stormed Ahrar al-Sham’s defense lines in Sarmin village in the Southeastern part of the province, killed at least 10 terrorists and destroyed four vehicles loaded with weapons and ammunition,” the army said.
“Concentration centers of al-Nusra Front in Maarat al-Artiq in Aleppo province and al-Nabi Ayoub Height in Jabal al-Zawiyeh in the Southern part of Idlib province came under massive attacks of the Syrian army and the National Defense Forces (NDF),” the army said.
It added that at least three militants were killed and at least six machinegun-equipped vehicles were destroyed in the attacks.
“The Syrian government forces also raided the Takfiri terrorists’ strongholds in Joseph village South of Ariha city, and killed at least three militants while a number of them suffered critical injuries,” the army further announced.
Military sources announced earlier today that the Syrian army and the National Defense Forces destroyed the military positions of the Takfiri terrorists, including a large ammunition depot, in an area located between the provinces of Hama and Idlib.
“The arms depot, that contained a huge number of US-made TOW anti-tank missiles and missile-launchers, of Jeish al-Fatah (Army of Conquest) terrorist group were destroyed in an area between Hama and Idlib provinces by the Syrian forces,” an informed source said.
Dozens of Takfiri terrorists were killed and many more were injured during the Syrian forces' raid on their positions; FNA reported.
