Iranian President Hassan Rouhani registered as a candidate in the country’s forthcoming Assembly of Experts elections here on Monday, IRNA reports.
The official registration of candidates for the fifth Assembly of Experts elections started nationwide on Thursday.
Potential candidates can register for the elections until December 23.
The Parliament and Assembly of Experts elections will be simultaneously held on February 26, 2016 across the country
