"Two people coming from the Middle East were arrested at the weekend," Robert Holzleitner, a spokesman for prosecutors in Salzburg, told AFP. "Indications of a possible link to the Paris attacks are currently being investigated."
The attacks in Paris on the night of Friday 13 November by gunmen and suicide bombers hit a concert hall, a major stadium, restaurants and bars, almost simultaneously left 130 people dead and hundreds wounded.
The attacks were described by President Francois Hollande as an "act of war" organised by the ISIS terrorist group.
Shootings and bomb blasts left 130 people dead and hundreds wounded, with more than 100 in a critical condition.
