An Air France Boeing 777 flying from San Francisco International Airport to Paris was diverted to Montreal late Monday evening due to a reported bomb threat.
Air France flight AF83 was heading from San Francisco airport to Charles De Gaulle Airport in Paris when a purported bomb threat called upon the plane forced it to make an emergency landing at the Montreal Airport.
Montreal Airport Police Authorities are already on the scene trying to investigate the issue and find any possible suspicious threatening object in the aircraft.
Similar bomb threats forced the diversion of two Paris-bound Air France flights on one evening last month. One flight, from Los Angeles, was diverted to Salt Lake City, while the second, from Washington Dulles, was diverted to Halifax. Passengers on both flights resumed their trips after the planes were checked out by authorities at the two airports, media reported.
