“Islam Army has received an invitation to attend the Riyadh conference, which has been decided to be held December 8-10,” it said in a written statement.

Islam Army did not say whether it planned to attend, Arabianbusiness reported.

Meanwhile, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on Wednesday night (December 2) that any “sideline talks” on the Syrian crisis in Saudi Arabia or Jordan constitute a violation of the Vienna agreement.

He further noted that such moves will only derail the political attempts meant to solve the Syrian conflict.
