Russian defense ministry has released the footage of air force heavy airstrike near the Turkish border with Syria eliminating the terrorists operating near the border.
Russian defense ministry says its air force has carried out heavy airstrikes in northern Syria, near the Turkish border where the surviving pilot of the downed Russian plane was rescued.
Ministry spokesperson Igor Konashenkov said the strikes were launched as soon as the pilot reached a Russian base. He said Russian bombers and Syrian government missiles hit the region for a "long period of time" and terrorists operating in the area were "eliminated".
Konashenkov also said Russia's air force flew 134 sorties and hit 449 terrorist targets across Syria over the last three days, and videos of the operations have been released; English.cntv.com reported.
