Early reports from Eastern Syria said on Friday that ISIS terrorists have sustained heavy losses in the Syrian army's intensifying ground and air assaults across the province of Deir Ezzur.
The army said that the Syrian bombers hit the ISIS positions in Mrei'iyeh and al-Jafra hard, leaving scores of them killed or wounded.
The militants’ gathering centers in al-Sena’a neighborhood were also stormed by the Syrian ground force, resulting in destruction of the militant sites' infrastructures.
On Thursday, the Syrian army, backed by the Russian warplanes, thwarted a terrorists’ attack on Deir Ezzur military airport, killing 25 Takfiri militants.
The Syrian forces repelled the attack on Deir Ezzur military airport, and killed 25 Takfiri terrorists and injured at least 40 others; FNA reported.
