Iran’s FM Zarif, Chinese Counterpart Hold Joint Press Conferense

Visiting Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, held talks on a whole host of issues, including ways to deepen bilateral relations between the two Asian countries.

At a joint press briefing with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi, Zarif urged the American and regional dissidents to the JCPOA to respect the international will to solve the global questions through peaceful solutions.

Zarif further criticized non-constructive approaches being appeared in the US political atmosphere.

Unfortunately, he said, some in the US and some other in the region including the Zionist regime have been following their interests through conflicts and tensions.

He further hoped all sides would adopt the will of the international society to solve the important issues in the world by the peaceful ways.

Zarif also welcomed China's constructive role in implementation of reconstruction plan of Arak heavy water reactor and other related issues to the JCPOA.

Zarif hoped Tehran and Beijing would keep the existing positive approach to bilateral relations.

For his part, the Chinese foreign minister said Beijing and Tehran agreed to start talks within the framework of strategic cooperation.

Iranian and Chinese economies are supplementary to each other, said Wang Yi adding his country is keen to deepen ties with Iran.

He further called on all sides of the nuclear talks to be faithful to their commitments.
China stresses importance of implementation of the JCPOA as soon as possible, said he.
Beijing will be faithful to its political commitments, said he, adding his country and Iran believe that fight with terrorism is a must.

Zarif heading an Iranian delegation arrived in Beijing on Monday night.

On July 14, Iran and world's six major powers known as the Group 5+1 (the US, Britain, France, Germany, Russia and China) concluded their over a decade-long negotiations on Tehran’s nuclear activities which led to the signing of the JCPOA.

According to the text of the document, the anti-Iran sanctions will be removed in
exchange for some limitations on the country’s nuclear energy program; Iran will be recognized by the United Nations as a nuclear power and will continue its uranium enrichment program.

Iran has repeatedly announced that its nuclear activities aim at peaceful purposes; IRNA reported.
