According to reports around 1,000 Qatari soldiers, backed by 200 armoured vehicles and 30 Apache helicopters, are heading to Yemen's Maareb province to join the Arab aggressor coalition currently engaged in fighting in the area.
The Doha government-backed news outlet reports that more Qatari forces are expected to be sent to the region with the intention of securing the Jawf governorate.
The news comes as Turkish media report that Qatar is also set to send fighter jets to join anti-ISIL strikes from Turkey.
Hurriyet Daily News reported that Turkish authorities will allow the use of airbases in the south-eastern provinces of Batman, Diyarbakır and Malatya for US-coalition air strikes.
The newspaper also said France was considering joining the war against ISIL, which could be confirmed by President Francois Hollande at his press conference today.
