Iranian President, Cabinet Meet with Supreme Leader

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has received President Rouhani and his cabinet on the occasion of the National Week of the Government, MNA reports.

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei told the cabinet that the naming of the event when former President Mohammad Ali Rajaei and the Prime Minister Mohammad Javad Bahonar had been martyred in a bombing of the government building in early years of the Revolution (1981) as National Day of the Government sought to keep their memory and their practical as well as intellectual legacy alive.

The Leader also provided the cabinet with some priorities in culture, economy and technology which would help ‘unfazed resistance against the enemy.’

Ayatollah Khamenei's important points could be summarized as the following where the Leader:

- Expressed Gratitude to government for attempts to cut inflation and restoring relative stability to the economy;

- Highlighted the nuclear negotiations coming to an end as ‘critical;’

- Voiced some concerns over a general negligence toward the enemies’ continued hostility toward the Revolution and the country;

- Demanded full alertness against enemy’s ruses and plots for infiltrating the country;

- Urged avoiding offbeat issues and splitting the public;

- Emphasized upon the rapid pace of technological, scientific advancement of the country;

- Demanded monitoring of the cultural environment drawing upon the principles and slogans of Imam Khomeini (RA) and the Revolution;

- Urged production of healthy cultural products and avoiding unhealthy cultural products;

- Emphasized upon economic growth along with adhering to justice;

- Demanded serious management of foreign commerce;

- Urged full observance of the Resistance Economy in any planning attempt;

- Highlighted the necessity of a consistence and practicable plan for Resistance Economic policies to be realized.
