Addressing the 8th congress of Islamic Radios and TVs Union (IRTVU) on Sunday, Omran al-Zoubi added that Takfiri groups like DAESH (ISIL) have been created by the US, Israel and Saudi Arabia.
He referred to Syria’s resistance against the barbaric attacks of terrorist groups and said the Syrian nation will never allow partition of their country.
Certain countries have spent billions of dollars to bring terrorists from around the world to Syria, he underlined.
The Syrian minister noted that hundreds of Syrians have achieved martyrdom in their fight against Takfiris.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Al-Zoubi praised Iran’s support for the Syrian nation, IRNA reports.
The 8th congress of IRTVU kicked off on Sunday in the Iranian capital. 220 TV and radio channels from 35 countries are attending the event.
A Media Technology Exhibition was also opened on the sidelines of the congress.
The motto of the gathering is “Prophet of Mercy; Mission of Resistance Media”.
