Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov called for reinforcement of all-out mutual relations, IRNA reports.
'Iran and Russia have mutual relations in sensitive regions,' Zarif said, reiterating that Tehran-Moscow enjoy the highest level of bilateral relations.
'Tehran believes that the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) inked between Iran and P5+1 would facilitate reinforcement of Iran-Russia relations,' he added.
Iranian foreign minister reiterated that the ground is quite ready for broadening bilateral ties in economic, cultural and trade arenas.
Appreciating Russian President Vladimir Putin and Lavrov's stance during the process of negotiations between Iran and P5+1, Zarif stressed that Tehran and Moscow would continue their cooperation in regional and global arenas.
The Russian minister, for his part, said Moscow is keen to cooperate with Tehran in settling Middle East and north of Africa issues aimed at benefiting the regional nations.
Over 100 reporters from different countries are covering the meeting of the Iranian and Russian foreign ministers.
The ministers of the two countries are scheduled to attend a joint press conference.
