Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani on Saturday acknowledged Iranian resolve to end the nuclear stalemate lingering over the past 12 years, Al-Alam News Network reports.
He told a press conference on the occasion of Reporter’s Day that the entire Islamic system decided to come to terms with the western governments over the nuclear dispute after investigating all the aspects three years.
Comparing the Resolution 2231 of the UN Security Council following the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action with the UN resolution 598 which ended Iraqi imposed war on Iran in 1988, Larijani said that Iran has always pursued a logical, rational approach for resolution of its nuclear issue.
The speaker underlined that despite the progresses made, there is yet a long way forward to implement the JCPOA.
He said that the Zionist regime is desperately sabotaging implementation of the nuclear deal between Iran and P5+1 by raising baseless doubts about Parchin military site.
Elaborating on what Iran gained by the JCPOA, Larijani said that Iran has been successful to convince the other parties to accept Iran’s nuclear enrichment right and in the meantime remove the sanctions.
He called the CJPOA a national achievement, adding that the execution of CJPOA is a very sensitive stage.
Iran should use the current opportunity in the aftermath of the nuclear deal to boost national economy by bringing in modern technology and foreign investment, Larijani added.
