Iraqi Police Repel ISIS Attack, Kill 11 Terrorists near Ramadi

Iraqi Federal Police Captain Raed Shakir Jawdat said that his forces foiled infiltration attempts of the ISIS Takfiri terrorists in the Eastern side of Ramadi, and killed at least 11 of them, Al-Alam News Network reports.

“The Iraqi security forces backed by the federal police managed to thwart the operation by ISIS elements to the block lines of Iraqi troops in Husaybah area, (7 km East of Ramadi), resulting in the  killing of  11 ISIS terrorists,” Jawdat said.

“The Iraqi forces also dismantled 47 explosive devices and 8 booby-trapped houses during its advance in the Eastern axis of the city of Ramadi,” he further added.

On Sunday, at least 10 fighters of the ISIS were killed and some others injured in the Iraqi Federal Police's operations in the Eastern side of Ramadi, the chief of police command said.

“The Iraqi police forces stormed positions of the ISIS group and killed over 10 terrorists, including a suicide bomber and three snipers," Jawdat said.
