Ivica Dačić, Serbia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, is scheduled to hold talks with a number of senior Iranian officials and visit a number of science and technology centers in the country.
During the three day visit, the Serbian diplomat will review the country's political relations with Iran, the status of Iran-Serbia Joint Economic Cooperation Commission, and the organizing of future meetings of NAM member countries, given Serbia’s position as a member of the Non-Aligned Movement.
In 2012, then-foreign minister of Serbia Ivan Mrkić traveled to Tehran to represent Serbia at the 16th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement.
Serbian FM is currently the chairperson of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
The OSCE with 57 participating States addresses a wide range of security-related concerns, including arms control, human rights, national minorities, policing strategies, counter-terrorism and economic and environmental activities.
