Talking before heads and members of public organizations President Assad added: they call it terrorism when it hits them, and revolution; freedom; democracy and human rights when it hits us.
The President said that despite of the complexities of the situation in Syria, the reality has appeared clearly and masks have dropped from many faces and fake terminologies have fallen down and lies have been divulged, Syrian state news agency SANA reports.
Terrorism is an ill ideology, a distorted doctrine and an anomalous exercise that emerged and grew up in environments of ignorance and backwardness, and it is obvious for all that colonization is the side that founded these factors and boosted them and is still boosting them, President al-Assad added.
“How could those who spread the seeds of terrorism combat it” President al-Assad wondered, adding that: ”Who wants to combat terrorism could do it through rational and realistic policies based on justice and the respect of peoples’ will of determining their future, managing their affairs, restoring their rights on the basis of spreading knowledge, combating ignorance, improving economy, raising awareness of the society as well as developing it.
according to Bloomberg report: Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said on Sunday he sees no political solution to his country’s war before “terrorism” is crushed.
President Bashar al-Assad said Iran has provided economic support and “military expertise” in the four-year war. He also commended Russia and China for supporting the government at the United Nations Security Council.
Also AP reports that Syrian President Bashar Assad says he supports any political dialogue to end his country's war - even if its effects are limited. But he says any initiative that is not based on fighting terrorism will be "hollow" and "meaningless."
In his speech, Assad clarifies why the Syrian army has given up some areas of Syria, including the northwestern city of Idlib. He said it was due to military priorities. He said: "It was necessary to specify critical areas for our armed forces to hang on to. Concern for our soldiers forces us to let go of some areas."
He added that: "Every inch of Syria is precious."
