US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter arrived on Thursday in Iraq on an unannounced visit, Al-Alam News Network reports.
Reuters said in breaking news, “The US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter has arrived today in Baghdad in unannounced visited.”
“The Carter will hold talks with Iraqi leaders who seek to address the organization of the ISIS, which took over the city of Ramadi in May.”
It is noteworthy that Carter had arrived on Wednesday (July 22, 2015) in the Saudi city of Jeddah to convince senior Saudi officials to “the advantages of the nuclear agreement” concluded between Iran and the six major countries recently.
