While Iranian people take part in International Quds Day. Muslims around the world are set to mark the International Quds Day on Friday with rallies planned in the US, the United Kingdom, Australia and across the Muslim world.

International Quds Day rallies are held annually on the last Friday of the month of Ramadan.

The day of anti-Zionist expression was first declared by Late Ayatollah Khomeini, the Leader of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Ayatollah Khomeini established the annual event in order to bring international attention to the Palestinian cause.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani invited Muslims to stage mass-participation in the International Quds Day rallies, and said Iranians will shout their hatred for the Zionist regime on Friday.

"People will tell the world on the Quds Day that the Muslim nations will never forget Palestine and occupation of this territory," Rouhani said in an interview with the state TV on Wednesday.

He underlined that the Iranian nation will shout its hatred for the Zionists on the Quds Day, given the massacre of innocent people by the terrorists in the region and their links with Israel.

"The Islamic Ummah will actually shout the call of unity on the Quds Day," Rouhani stressed.

Iranian Supreme Leader's top adviser for international affairs Ali Akbar Velayati stressed that Muslims will display their power and might to the enemies and oppressor powers by their massive turnout in the International Quds Day rallies on Friday.

"Today, unfortunately the enemies of Islam and Muslims have attempted to downplay over a century of innocence of Gaza and Palestine by creating terrorist and Takfiri groups and committing crimes against the oppressed and defenseless people of the region in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, … but they are unaware that they (the Muslims) have stood and will gain victory over enemies of Islam, specially the Zionist regime, through resistance and support of the resistance pivot and will disturb the enemies' dreams," Velayati said in a statement on the occasion of the International Quds Day rallies on Thursday.
He invited all Muslims, including the Iranian people, to massively participate in the International Quds Day rallies, FNA reports.
