The United States has never hidden its support for the terrorists fighting in Syria, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem said on Monday.
"We believe that the Syrian problem needs a political solution," Muallem said in a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, Itar-Tass reported.
"However, 2,100 militants with most advanced weapons were recently deployed in Syria's South," he said. "The Americans are making no secret of their support for terrorists. We are facing double standards."
Muallem accused Washington of allocating $1 billion to supports terrorists fighting in Syria.
