Chairman of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iran's Parliament underlined the need for approval of any nuclear deal by Iran's Parliament, Al-Alam News Network reports.
On the sidelines of an open session of Parliament on Tuesday, Alaeddin Boroujerdi pointed to the plan approved by Iran’s Parliament to oblige the government to preserve nuclear rights and achievements, saying that the new plan has provided support for nuclear negotiations.
"Redlines have been presented to the negotiators by the Supreme National Security Council and they are required to enforce the obligations," Boroujerdi said, adding that the Parliament is now ready to help Iranian team.
The new plan stresses that the regulations set by the Supreme National Security Council has to be fully observed and that the outcome of the nuclear talks should be reported to the Parliament based on Article 77 and Article 125 of the Constitution.
According to a new plan approved by Iranian Parliament, the results of nuclear talks with the Group 5+1 is valid only if they contain in vivid terms that the whole body of sanctions should be removed at once immediately after Iran starts to act in accordance to its commitments.
Furthermore, foreign minister is obliged to report to the Parliament the process of the implementation of the agreement every six months. Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee must present the report on the execution of the agreement to members of Parliament every six months.
